| Mariner F4ML / F4ML Sailmate |
SPECIAL PURCHASE – We now have available some earlier type side gearshift, lightweight Mariner 4hp long shaft and the Mariner / Mercury 4hp long shaft Sailmate models, and they are on extra special offer! They may be low in price but they have the same 123cc capacity as the 2013 versions, but are over 2lbs lighter. They also have all the same features such as for operator convenience, forward, neutral and reverse gears, a twist grip throttle, a low oil pressure warning light and, for when navigating in waters with little depth, shallow water drive. They also have an integral fuel tank plus a socket to accept a remote fuel tank. The F4ML long shaft models are especially popular as auxiliary engines on RIBs and fishing craft. The Mariner / Mercury F4ML Sailmate is designed for pushing heavy displacement boats, such as yachts. It is fitted with a specially shaped, large bladed, fine pitch propeller for much improved thrust. The Sailmate also has additional exhaust relief ports that when using reverse, allow the exhaust gases to escape underwater without interfering with the propeller. The Sailmate also includes battery charging as standard. If a client requires a battery charging and / or the special high thrust propeller, these may be fitted as extras to the Mariner F4ML. With the high thrust propeller fitted, they make superb emergency back-up engines for power craft. As these 4hp engines are actually de-tuned 5hp and 6hp models, they are very low stress engines with excellent longevity as a result.
